Long story short...yes that was daylight you could see through the load bearing wall! Had to jack the load bearing wall up from the outside and replace this "framing" then we insulated the floors, walls, and ceilings with rock wool insulation, fixed all these ghastly unspeakable horrors, and then built this new, safe, beautiful bathroom .
